The unit provides treatment and follow-up services for children with critical and chronic central and peripheral nervous diseases, whether through the inpatient department or outpatient clinics, where there are 12 inpatient beds for admitting cases. Those who need specialized care in the field of neurology for children under the age of 18. The unit provides services to the people of Dakahlia Governorate and neighboring governorates such as Kafr El-Sheikh, Port Said, Damietta, Sharkia, and some Upper Egypt governorates. The unit enjoys cooperation with various hospital units, especially the intensive care and kidney units (for plasma dialysis) and the neurosurgery departments for adults and children to provide All therapeutic services required for each case.Neurology outpatient clinics
1- Behavior Disorders and Sleep Disorders Clinic (Saturday of every week)
2- Epilepsy Clinic (Tuesday of every week)
3- Encephalopathy and Neuromuscular Diseases Clinic (Thursday of every week)
Specialized services:
1- Ketogenic diet for epilepsy patients
2- Botox injections for patients with catatonic encephalopathy and muscle stiffness
3- Follow-up service with biological and immunotherapy and plasma washing for all types of autoimmune nervous system infections
