From the previous presentation it is clear how large the engineering department is, including engineers, technicians, workers, and maintenance technicians. In addition to the entire Medical Engineering Department, it is affiliated with the Engineering Department. Which requires a powerful administrative body to supervise this entity.
Knowing that the period of leadership of the Engineering Department by Mr. Engineer / Walid Muhammad Abdel Aziz coincided with the difficult period that the country was going through, which was the period of the emergence of the Corona virus, which increased the burden on the shoulders of the Engineering Department, and the members of the Engineering Department began to face death as a result. Daily as a result of performing maintenance work of all kinds, which exposes them on a daily basis to infection.
The result of this effort was that a number of (2) engineers were lost from the technical staff of the Engineering Department who were infected with the Corona virus. However, the engineering department did not stop carrying out its daily work, bearing the burden of the dependencies of this work.

These projects are examples, but not limited to:
(1) Replacement and renovation of the endoscopy operating room and the allergy and immunology unit.
In view of the oldness of the unit and to provide distinguished service to those visiting the hospital, we requested the replacement and renovation of the endoscopy operating room for the Allergy and Immunology Unit and the necessary validity tests for it to accommodate those visiting the unit at a cost of (1,800,000)
(2) Replacement and renovation of the neonatal unit on the sixth floor of the main building.

(3) Implementation of the first phase of the central air conditioning phase, the hospital’s chilled water network for the neonatal unit and the artificial kidney.
As a result of the complete collapse of the air conditioning system to keep pace with the hospital’s development operations, the project serves (the neonatal unit - the dialysis unit - the allergy and immunology unit - the heart unit) at a cost of (10,000,000)
(4) Replacing and renewing the second floor, section (1) on the second floor, heart section
Given the department's antiquity and the provision of distinguished service to those visiting the hospital, this led to a request to replace, renovate, and renovate the second floor, Section (1), on the second floor, the Cardiology Department, to provide better service to patients.
(5) Raising the efficiency of the dialysis unit and increasing its capacity.
Due to the large number of people visiting the dialysis unit and the unit’s service to many centers and neighboring governorates, this led to an increase in the unit’s capacity to accommodate (20) intensive care beds at a cost of 3,500,000.
(6) The process of replacing, renovating, and raising the efficiency of intensive care has begun, and a Projects National Service of the Armed Forces. The project is being completed.
Due to the large number of visitors to the hospital in many neighboring centers and governorates, this led to an increase in the unit’s capacity to accommodate (29) beds, at a cost of 40,400,000 (forty million and four hundred thousand).
(7) Establishing 4 document storage rooms on top of the main building.
Due to the presence of the Corona epidemic that has struck the entire world, a public tender was conducted to increase the number of offices in the hospital and to create (4) document storage rooms in order to create a healthy climate for the performance of employees and to serve patients and visitors to the hospital, at a cost of 500,000 (five hundred One thousand pounds).
