  • The unit was established in 1997.
  • About 3% of children admitted to our Children's Hospital Mansoura University need critical care management.
  • Before building the unit in the main university hospital, there was no unit providing this concept of scientific and medical services in our Dakahlia or in the Delta region
  • As much as critical care is pivotal to any progress in pediatric and other specialties, dialysis, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, etc.
  • Increase in demand for pediatric critical care as well as increased medical awareness of families.
